Handy little wrapper for LibMTP.
I'm going to have a go at writing a script to automatically populate my Creative Zen with the podcasts I regulalrly listen to.
Note that Amarok already supports MTP players. I just like creating mashups to make my life easier!
Did a quick look for some Linux drivers for the Forerunner 305.
Quite a few bits out there:
Garmin site on SDK
Some C code and shell scripts for accessing data from the Garmin 305.
I may have a play with some Python code to automate showing a route on Google maps ...
Here's a usb module for Python.
Have recently purchased a Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS / Training watch.
Very nice gadget. Haven't used it in anger yet, as only got it yesterday (Sunday)!
Reason for purchasing was to bring some regularity to my training. I've got quite fit over the last year, however was starting to loose some focus. Was over training and didn't have any goals set.
Here is my new weekly training schedule that I came up with whilst on holiday:
Monday - 30 min spinning class followed by 20 Min Row @ 70-80% MHR
Tuesday - 6 mile run - Target is 6 minute miles
Wednesday - 20 Min Row @ 70-80% MHR followed by 4 mile gentle run. Fix pace on the day
Thursday - 1 hour Cycle - average 18mph, followed by Haverhill running club - usually 6 miles at club pace (depends who's around)
Friday - Spinning class for 1 hour
Saturday - REST DAY (Phew!)
Sunday - 10 mile run at 7min per mile or longer ride with Cambridge cycling club
For the rowing, make sure the drag factor is set correctly. On the newer Concept II rowers (PM4 display module), you can view the drag factor using the "More Options" menu entries. Older rowers, press the "Ready and Rest" buttons together. See this link to the concept II site for more details.
The concept II website has a whole host of useful stuff. You can see how well you are doing in terms of speed etc by going to the rankings page.
I made a change to the Python NZB processor so that it handled situations where there was more than one source rar file and / or par file. You can get the latest version of the script here.
Found this web page creation site - "Weebly" - had a quick play seems kind of cool.
